Welcome to Sid's Vault - a volunteer effort to preserve the history of the Waterford Speedbowl oval racetrack in Waterford, CT.  "Sid" is the nickname for founder Tom DiMaggio, who spearheads the project, while "Vault" is a reference to how hard the statistical history of the Speedbowl was to find.  Starting in 2005 as statistical based research, the Vault expanded in 2007 when it began publishing the track program each Saturday, which it still does to this day.  In 2008, DiMaggio formed a production crew to start work on a documentary film project (completion target Dec 2013).  In 2010, the Vault Crew also took on filming the races on a weekly basis and producing online webisodes featuring a fan's perspective of the track's weekly Saturday night events.  You can find out more about all these projects by clicking on any of the links on the left side of this main page.  Enjoy your trip down memory lane!
