Jason
Palmer won an amazing 22 victories during the 2009 season - 12 in the
Wednesday series and 10 in the Saturday series. With a month to go on
the schedule, Palmer had a chance to catch the all-time record of 23
set by Speedbowl legend Don Collins back in 1960 between the Modified
and Non-Ford divisions, but a couple of rain outs, and a trip away from
the Speedbowl during the non-point Finale Weekend feature to compete in
the INEX Legends Car Nationals event ended Palmer's chance to match the
mark, but it was only the second time in track history that any driver
has amassed 20 or more feature victories in a single season.
