The Demolition Derby events have been the most popular
non-racing exhibition at the Speedbowl for over 40 years. In the
1990's, they followed the success of the Enduros and added a 4-cylinder
division. A few years later, in large part for the highly
successful Back-to-School Bash annual event, they've added a School Bus
division as well. Although there have been other demolition
derbies held (trucks, motorcycles, etc) the Vault research will only
track the 8-cylinder, 4-cylinder and School Bus divisions
During our research, unfortunately we've found references to
over 100 Demo events where the winner has yet to be verified. In
fact,
many of these events were not covered by the local media or sometimes
even the track (as was the case in 2009), so it's quite possible this
section of Vault research will be the last to be completed.... if it
ever is at all. Yet because the Demolition Derbies have been so
popular over the
years, they results should be recognized the best we can with a few
pages within
the Exhibition events section. You can browse the Demolition

statistics in Records tab remain unofficial until all results have been
recorded.
